Meet The Team

Kevin is the Co-Founder of GlobeBusters, and he is one of the world’s leading adventure motorcycle tour Leaders. It is doubtful that anyone can match his credentials in terms of motorcycling miles across the planet, whether riding independently or leading teams of riders.

Kevin has two Guinness World Records™ for global motorcycling, achieved in 2022 and 2003.  He has circumnavigated the world by motorcycle twice, has ridden the Trans Siberian Highway, the Pan-American Highway nine times and the Silk Road across Tibet & China nine times. As well as this, he has led rider teams in Southern Africa, Australia, India, South East Asia, South America – let’s just say, there aren’t many places he hasn’t ridden a motorcycle!

Kevin’s instructional skills are also highly recognised. He is a RoSPA Advanced Diploma Instructor and BMW AG Accredited Road Instructor. In 2006, he founded BMW Rider Training for BMW Motorrad UK and was Director of BMW Rider Training until 2013, as well as being Director of BMW Tours from 2011-2013 before stepping down to solely focus on GlobeBusters.

If you have already travelled with Kevin, you will know his ability to sniff out the best steaks in Argentina, the best Pinotage in Africa or where to find birthday cakes in the middle of nowhere are almost as legendary as his global riding exploits!  But most importantly his leadership, motivation and positivity are key to heading up our GlobeBusters Team and when on the road.

Julia is Co-Founder of GlobeBusters. She rode as a pillion passenger on both Guinness World Records™ with Kevin.

Over the past 16 years, Julia has worked with Kevin on many of the GlobeBusters Expeditions as a Motorcycle Tour Leader.  She’s notched up Trans Americas, London to Beijing, Bangkok to London, Southern Africa, Delhi to Bangkok, around Australia, as well as leading tours in Europe as part of the BMW Tours team – the biggest of which was 200 + riders going to BMW Motorrad Days in Garmisch-Partenkirch in 2012.

Julia is also a LLB Honours law graduate and ICAEW Chartered Accountant, so this means that the “back office” side of GlobeBusters and all the planning for the expedition hotels, route and other activities are under her control (although she would much rather be riding!).  Her memory is legendary – every customer name and trip can be brought to mind, as well a routes, hotels names, contacts!  If want to know about visas for trip, best way to freight your bike, brilliant place to stay in Cusco, Julia will know it all!

Rhys is the youngest member of the GlobeBusters team – but he’s already a double Guinness World Record holder, just like his parents, Kevin and Julia Sanders, co-founders of GlobeBusters. Travel has been in his blood from the start: riding pillion with Kevin in South America at 16, crossing Europe to Istanbul, and growing up in New Zealand before setting out on his own global challenge. He went on to become the Youngest Person to Circumnavigate the World by Motorcycle and still holds the record for the Most Consecutive Capital Cities Visited by Motorcycle. That epic journey took him across 71 countries, six continents, and over 100,000km in 20+ months.

Since then, Rhys has added more adventures to the list, riding coast-to-coast across the USA, Veitnam, Indonesia, Japan as well as guiding GlobeBusters tours through Iceland, Morocco, Patagonia, the Trans Americas, and the iconic London to Bangkok expedition.

Whether on the road or behind the scenes, Rhys brings his passion for travel, photography, and storytelling to everything he does. With his depth of experience and infectious enthusiasm, you’re sure to find him sharing knowledge, inspiration, and a few tips from the road as he helps lead the next generation of GlobeBusters expeditions.

Starting his working life as a Royal Marine, Pete worked his way up through the driver’s branch, latterly diversifying into the world of International Arms Control. Having completed a twenty-four year career, he then went on to do a further ten years with the Foreign Office undertaking a series of short-term logistic secondments in post war countries.

Besides being a keen motorcyclist and traveller, Pete has also undertaken specialist oil-industry driver training contracts in locations as diverse as the Artic, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Ukraine; and more recently provided support to F1 Teams.

Pete has worked with GlobeBusters since 2013, acting as Support Driver on all our major expeditions in the Americas, Africa, and Asia, as well as shorter tours in Morocco and Iceland.   You’ll always find Pete with hot tea and carrying a multitude of useful tool and bits in his faithful Kriega backpack.  He’ll also be the one making hot soup at the side of the road in the middle of Tibet!

Dom has been riding since he was 9, like his dad and his grandad before him.  He has been a avid competitor, participating in trials, enduro, short circuit racing (with a Championship to his name).  He is also an Instructor for the RAF Odiham Motorcycle Club on their airfield riding days, promoting better skills for road riding, as well as delivering more advanced training at National Circuits around the UK and instructing all levels, at their off road events in Hampshire.

The travel bug bit in the late 90s starting with various trips around Europe. Then onto Balkans,Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, South East Asia, North and South Africa, and a short stint as a tour guide in India.  Dom was also part of the first GlobeBusters Trans Americas in 2005.  This led to many off road rides in the North American continent, with more than 10,000 miles of dirt under his belt, including the Trans Am Trail, and the Copper Canyon and in Baja, Mexico.

Dom’s a whizz around the mechanical side of bikes too, having restored many a classic motorcycle, you can often find him in his garage tinkering away (at least when he’s not out riding!)

Dom has been with GlobeBusters for six years, providing support on London to Beijing, and leading our Morocco and Iceland Tours.

Over twenty years ago, Tiffany left the UK riding a BMW R80GS, on a simple trip to India that turned into an epic two and a half years on the road. Tiffany has not stopped travelling since and has gone on to ride across every continent, some of them two or three times. She is the world’s foremost solo female motorcycle adventurer and can turn her hand to riding any bike across any country.

Tiffany’s guiding roles started with Timbuctoo – crossing the Sahara is never an easy ride. Her extensive journeys have given her an in-depth knowledge of just about every corner of the world including Australia, most of Africa, Alaska, Labrador, Japan, Tierra Del Fuego, Central Asia, Borneo, Siberia, Madagascar and Outer Mongolia amongst others.

Since starting with us in 2011, Tiffany has brought her wealth of global experience to every expedition and tour that she’s worked on. Leading and guiding on every continent, she can turn her hand to any task required and her photographic skills are second to none, capturing great riding shots while on tour.

Tiffany has been a Motorcycle Tour Guide on trips including London to Beijing, Morocco and Trans Americas Expeditions, and is a Tour Manager on our adventure tours in South America.

Darran has been riding for over 28 years and has massed considerable experience on all types of bikes – he has a rather full garage, and choice of bikes range from “Sports” to “Nakeds” to “Tourers” and “Off Roaders.”  His early bike travels took him all over Europe and during the last five years, Darran has ridden tens of thousands of miles across North America, South America, Asia and Africa, relishing and enjoying the diverse roads types; endless highways – dirt tracks – some of the highest mountain passes in the world, which combine scorching heat and freezing finger numbing temperatures!

Darran is a bit of a techy and can solve most challenges thrown up by GPS systems.  His technical engineering background, and a great bike workshop at home where he can be found giving TLC to his own bikes, any mechanical problems on the road and Darran will be there to help.

He has also been a Senior Observer for the Institute for Advanced Motorcyclists for the past 7 years and is hugely supportive of sharing his riding experience with other motorcyclists.

As a customer, Darran rode the first 2010 London to Beijing, 2013 Trans Americas and 2015 Southern Africa.  Darran then started with GlobeBusters in 2015, supporting the London to Beijing Expedition.  Since then he has been the Expedition Manager on Delhi- Bangkok, Southern Africa, as well as returning to ride on London to Beijing.  He also has extensive riding experience in Morocco and Iceland.

Motorcycle travel has been intertwined with Craig’s professional life for the last 25 years. A trained engineer, Craig worked in several motorcycle businesses before becoming involved with representing motorcycling to Government and Parliament. He runs a successful lobbying and campaigning business which focuses on motorcycle industry representation and also strategic marketing and planning issues. His work has involved him in extensive travel, largely by motorcycle across Europe and North America.

A long time adventure motorcycle traveller across three continents, Craig Carey-Clinch first joined the GlobeBusters team in 2008 when along with Barbara, he designed and led the GlobeBusters West Africa trip to Mali and Senegal. This was followed in 2011 by the GlobeBusters Trans Canada expedition, which he and Barbara also led. He has created and led several tours and group rides since the 1990s, including into Morocco, a country he is very familiar with after a first trip in the year 2000.

He is also a founder of the charity Motorcycle Outreach, which was created by the late round the world motorcycle traveller Simon Milward. The charity was launched in 2005 with a ride to The Gambia, which was heavily supported by a motorcycle manufacturer and other businesses. In his spare time, Craig restores classic motorcycles and also helps people prepare and maintain adventure bikes.
