Through the COVID-19 pandemic, we have consistently placed our customers at the heart of what we do. We have treated all customers fairly, refunding all money for cancelled or postponed tours.  But we understand that riders may still feel nervous about booking, especially if it involves paying over hundreds of pounds far in advance of the start date.  So for 2021 only, we have temporarily changed our deposit payment policy.

Book in 2021 on any of our tours (no matter what date the tour takes place) and there is no deposit payable until 6 months prior to travel.  But even then, we won’t invoice you for any money unless we know your adventure is departing.  There’s never been an easier time to book a GlobeBusters tour or expedition, with no financial risk on your part, if we cancel your tour.  So you can explore our tour calendar with full peace of mind.

Until our current web booking system is updated, all you need to do when you book a Tour is to select the “Bank Transfer” option.  This way, you do not get charged anything when you book.  Your booking will be confirmed in our system and you will receive your tour confirmation by email.  We only send you an invoice 6 months before the start of the trip.   At that time you can chose to pay by credit or debit card or by doing a bank transfer, so you retain the choice of how to pay (you are not limited to the bank transfer option).

If you have already paid a deposit to us for a future trip that is more than 6 months ahead, then you can request a refund of that deposit.  Please just make the request in writing to us.  We will invoice you to then pay the deposit as above.

In addition to the above, it is important to note that we are fully compliant with the Package Travel & Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 – and are insured in case of insolvency so all clients monies are fully protected.  See here.

However, our deposit and refund policy does not cover everything.  We are not an insurer.  Cancellation by you once the tour is confirmed and you have paid for the tour is not refunded by us and you must make a claim through your travel insurer to cover this.  Most major insurers now have coronavirus cover clauses.  It is mandatory to have travel insurance in place to travel with us.
